Truck donation from LRA Böblingen to Kamin’-Kaschyrskyj

On 14.10.22, District Administrator Roland Bernhard and Sindelfingen’s Lord Mayor Dr. Bernd Vöhringer handed over a truck with a crane and tipping function, donated by the Böblingen District Road Maintenance Department, to the mayor of the Ukrainian town of Kamin’-Kaschyrskyj Viktor Pas’. According to the Ukrainian mayor, the truck will be used to dig ditches near Belarus and for other security purposes.

The truck transfer was organised and handled by the Cities4Cities network, a platform for networking between European and Ukrainian municipalities.

“European cities want to provide concrete support to municipalities in Ukraine as a direct expression of their solidarity. With Cities4Cities, we help unbureaucratically at the municipal level and bring together offers and needs.”

The District Administrator and the Lord Mayor wished the Ukrainian delegation continued strength and stamina: “We hope for a quick end to the war with a good outcome for the people in Ukraine.
